Backing up your files safeguards them against loss if your hard disk fails or you accidentally overwrite or delete data. e-PayDay® has it's own backup / restore wizard and it is recommended that this be used in addition to any external backups (eg tape drives) as these can sometimes be cumbersome to restore from.

e-PayDay® also creates an additional backup file in a dedicated folder on the hard drive. In other words, no matter where the user chooses to backup their data, an additional backup will be made to this dedicated folder. See Archiving Backups.
