If you find yourself running the same reports over and over, then perhaps being able to click on the one button to produce all those reports at once would be convenient. For this reason e-PayDay provides the Batch Reports facility. The idea is that you can set up a group reports and name the grouping or "batch". Then calling up that batch and clicking on 'Print' or 'Preview' will produce all the reports in the batch.
On the left hand side in the reports window, is the list of available reports. When setting up a batch, any reports that are to be in the batch need to be moved from the left hand side to the right hand side i.e. from the 'Available Reports' to the 'Selected Reports'. To do so, once you have highlighted an available report (left hand side) press the 'Add' button. You can then view these reports in the 'Selected Reports' field (right hand side). If you wish to remove a report from the 'Selected Reports' field, hightlight that report (right hand side) and click on the 'Remove' button.
In summary, the steps in setting up a batch are below
1. Click on the 'New Batch ' button
2. Add the reports from the left hand side to the right hand side
3. Name the Batch (Click into white drop down box)
4. Click on the 'Back ' button and then re-enter the Reports window
To pull up a batch, click on the down arrow next to "Batch Reports…" and select the batch from the list.
NOTE: The name of the Batch is to be limited to 33 characters .
These batches can be removed at any time by simply bringing up the requested batch and click on 'Remove Batch' button.
NOTE: If you have a Batch that includes a specific date range. You can use this batch again and change the date range if necessary.
NOTE: If you can't preview/print a Batch after an upgrade has been installed, this may be caused by a particular report name being altered or deleted. Remove this report from the Batch and add the new/altered report again.
