Payruns in e-PayDay® are stored in a transaction database. Over the years this database can become quite large and cause the size of your backup files to be large as well (eg it might take several floppy disks just to backup a single company). A solution to this problem is to delete old financial year data. This only affects the transaction database and simply culls payruns from selected financial years. As long as End of Year backups and Archives are kept of these financial years, it is not essential that these payruns remain in the transaction database.
The program will automatically keep the previous financial year's data. (see How to Delete Old Financial Year)
