Clock-In is a software program that consists of a window that appears on the screen of the computer and states the time and allows for employees to click "IN" when beginning work and "OUT" when ceasing work.

When an employee uses 'Clock-In' they enter in their 'EmpClock ID' and then proceed to click either 'IN' or 'OUT'. The format of the EmpClock ID is that the last three digits represent the position of the company they are employed under. The preceding digits are the employee's DBID (found in their employee details via search). For example, an employee may be working in the 2nd company in e-PayDay® (Practice company has the "zero" position). Their employee DBID is 3. Therefore their employee number would be 3002. The first TAB of an employee's details contains their EmpClock ID. This cannot be changed or defined by the user.
As an alternative, if an employee ceased work because they felt ill, they would type in their EmpClock ID and then click on the 'Sick' button.
All the times registered by Clock-In are kept in a text file. For a more detailed explanation of the installation of Clock-In and precisely where the text file is located see Installation.
At the end of the pay period the times in this text file need to be "retrieved" and used to do up the employee's pays. For a detailed explanation of this process see Downloading Times.
