Each line in the table above is a user of e-PayDay®. Each user can be given one of two possible levels of access: These are...
LEVEL 1 (Supervisor) - full access rights are available to all Supervisors.
LEVEL 2 (User) - a User is restricted from accessing certain sections of the program (see below for restriction details).
NOTE: If passwords are to be used within the program, at least one (1) Password has to be set up as a Level 1.
As soon as one user is set up in the table, a login screen will appear whenever someone tries to enter e-PayDay®. They will be required to enter in a correct username and corresponding password.
Explanation of fields
Users Name - The name of the person who is authorised to use the password.
Position - The employment position of this person. eg Manager
Password - The password for a line (user) is actually entered in it's own field at the bottom of this window. Once it has been placed in there, type it in again in the 'Confirm Password' field and then click on the 'Save Password' button. Passwords and usernames are case sensitive.
Level - enter the Password Level eg. 1 or 2.
Select - This field is for selecting particular companies to list in the 'Access to Company(ies)' field. As soon as you click in the field a down arrow appears. If access for a user is to all companies then click on the down arrow and select "Access to ALL Companies". If only a selection of companies are to have access then click on the down arrow and one by one click on each company and their number will be put in the 'Access to Company(ies)' field.
Eg. Say there are five companies and this particular user is to have access to only the first and third company. Select company 1 from the drop down list of 'Select'. This number will now appear in 'Access to Company(ies)'. Then select company 3 from 'Select'.
'Access to Company(ies)' will then have "1,3" in it's field.
Access to Company(ies) – This field is not directly used. It contains a list of companies that a user has access to. Companies are added to the list by using the 'Select' field to the left. See instructions above.
Default Company - This field will determine which company e-PayDay® will default to when opening up the program via your login prompt. As soon as you click in the field a down arrow appears. Click on that down arrow and select a company.
Adding another password (user)
To make available a line to enter in password information (ie. add another user), with the mouse, click in an area of blank white space below where the line is to appear. Then proceed to fill out the fields on that line.
Deleting a password (user)
To delete password information for a particular user, click on the user's name and then click on the cross to get the following message:

2) Accessing Employee Termination Information
3) Accessing Passwords
4) Adding or Deleting Companies
5) Changing YTD Balances, Accruals and Superannuation Start Date.

The Login Screen
The screen below appears when entering e-PayDay® if passwords have been set up.

Click into the 'User Name' field and enter the user name. Click or TAB into the 'Password' field.
