There are three (3) Pay Type options to use when processing a Payrun:

 

Pay Rates

 

Allowances

 

Deductions

 

These are the tools used to pay employees. They include such things as an employee's award rate, a tool allowance etc.

 

They differ to awards in that awards are basically a set of employment conditions. Awards are referenced whereas Pay Types are used.
