To access the Search and Replace Function from the Employee List Screen, click on the 'Search' button.


Search In - Click on the down arrow, then lick on the field in which you would like to search eg. surname. The available fields are listed in alphabetical order. You may speed up your find by clicking on the first letter eg. 'S' will position the first word commencing with 'S' in the 'Search In' field.
Search By - Click on the down arrow and select the appropriate option for searching. For example:
Containing - for searching on a character/number which is contained in your search criteria eg. 'mit' will find all surnames containing those three (3) letters (eg. Smith).
Ending with - for searching on a character/number which is at the end of your search criteria eg. 'th' will find all surnames ending in 'th' (eg. Smith).
Is Equal to - for searching on whole words or numbers eg. 'smith' will find all Smith surnames.
Starting with - for searching on a character/number which is at the beginning of your search criteria eg. 'sm' will find all surnames starting with 'sm' (eg. Smith).
Search For - enter the number(s) or character(s) that you wish to search for.
Once you have completed the search options click on the 'Search' button to list those employees who match your selection. The field that you searched on is highlighted on the far right of the list.
Replace with - enter the data that is to replace the existing field (eg. assume you are to change the current Award #1 allocated to an employee), enter the new Award # then Click on the 'Replace' button.

Once you have finished with searching and replacing, click on the 'OK' button to save your details and return to the Employee List Screen
If you don't wish to save the changes made, click on the 'Cancel' button.
